BR Knoerzer

Originally from Cornwall NY Brian Knoerzer studied fine art at Purchase college graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2000. Upon graduating he moved to Williamsburg Brooklyn and has been a working artist for the last 13 years. He maintains a studio in Bushwick Brooklyn which has recently become one of most exciting a reason to show and exchange ideas with other emerging artists. He has shown internationally at the Daegu print center in South Korea as well as in several cities across the United states including Golden Colorado Foothills Art Center. Aside from exhibitions he has also been the recipient of various awards including the Artist Showcase award sponsored by the New York Print Club, Gramercy Park NYC.

Teaching is a source of inspiration for Brian’s work as he is currently a Math and Science teacher at the Green School K454 a high school in Bushwick Brooklyn. He received a masters degree in education from Hunter college and now is focused on finding ways to integrate art projects into New York states math and science curriculum. He has also taught art classes at K454 as well as the Craft Students League.
